​Our teams share something in common; we lived in developing countries, and we have experienced poverty and the difficulties that people in developing countries live. We have walked miles to fetch river and rain water to cook, bath, and wash clothes; we have witnessed orphans and widows sleep on the floor at night hungry; we have been part of gifted and talented populations with no means or equipment for economic gains; we have been around disabled adults and children who face significant stigma and discrimination and perceived as omens of bad luck, therefore left alone in their conditions.

Having been blessed to be in a different and better situation today we say, “No Poor Left Behind” in our endeavor to reduce poverty in the poorest areas of the world. After migrating to the U.S. in 2003 and earning his education, Wenesso Tengande decided to give back to the society, especially by helping the people who continue to live the difficult reality of poverty.

In 2010 Wenesso started planning for a Structure and Entity that would accomplish the main goal of reducing poverty. In 2012, he explored several opportunities by conducting a feasibility study in Sub-Saharan Africa, and he was moved by the sad reality he observed. He gathered information and data from village chiefs and several communities to help adapt and tailor the help based on needs. In 2015 Wenesso Foundation Inc. was registered in Maryland and rapidly started projects to assist the poor and underrepresented. Since then many initiatives were achieved with a sense of effectiveness to impact the and make the world a better place. To date, among the many projects are clean water provision, food distribution, and equipment purchase and delivery.
